Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also called Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as the label's debut female singer for Dreamville Records by J. Cole. Her debut EP Pho, released which was released on 21 October 2016 was released through Dreamville Records. She began to gain notoriety. Shea Butter Baby released her first album of studio work on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox released her songs online in 2012, when she dropped her five Finger Discount mixtape and Ariography EP in 2013. The year 2014 saw her continue to share her music over the web, including her own release single Bound. On July 21st, 2015. Omen featured her on Elephant Eyes' track"Sweat it Out.. J. Cole was interested in her talent and wanted to work together with Rihanna. On December 28, 2008 it was announced that Rihanna had been signed to Dreamville Records. The singer appeared on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II on the track Backseat with Cozz. In the month of October, she released her first EP Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's track Change and performed as an opening act on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. In 2018 she went on to guest feature on two songs with her label-mates EarthGang and EarthGang on Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. The 16th of July, 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single, Whipped Cream from her debut album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video, which was released on September 5. On the 9th of November the singer released two new singles: 40 Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. In November 13, she released two more singles called One and Pedigree. One or Pedigree. They then teamed up on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track titled Shea Butter Baby on November 16 and released as a single on February 26, 2019, to accompany her debut album with the same title. In February 2019, her music video to this song was released. The track has garnered over three million YouTube views in just a single week. She supported the 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour at the end of December the year 2018.
